Hi, I’m Joan Teach. I am an educational consultant based in the Atlanta area. I am also an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University and president of the Learning Disabilities Association of Georgia.
I hold a PhD from Georgia State University, an MA from Purdue University, and a BA from Wittenberg University. From 1979 to 2006, I served as director of the Lullwater School. I initiated one of the first CHADD groups in Georgia, and later served on CHADD’s national board of directors.
I have spent a lifetime working with children and adults with special needs. In the course of my career, I developed many strategies to assist children and adults with ADHD in understanding their own learning styles. My passion is designing games and simulations as unique learning interventions.
